While in Hawaii last year to second shoot a gorgeous wedding (see the blog post here), Maria and I met this incredible couple on their honeymoon.

Dean & Melissa are beautiful, of course, but on top of that...so kind, gentle, supportive of each other, and wonderfully loving.

At home in Arizona, Dean is the executive recruiter for accounting and finances at a firm in Scottsdale, and Melissa is an RN on the ortho neuro trauma floor in their hospital. They are people-helpers, and I like that. :)

I really consider it a pleasure to have photographed them and been able to bear witness to their love during their first days of marriage. :) This is seriously my job?? Thank you, Jesus!

My handsome husband has been friends with Blake for forever.

In fact, Blake used to live in what is now our foster boys' bedroom (minus the crib, fortunately) before we were married. And when Blake started talking about this girl named Lindsay, we were elated.

Every time we saw him, he was happier & happier. And just like that, they were engaged. Happy all around. I think you might be able to tell ;)

Derryn & Leiah - what a couple.

The first part of this session came to life after I saw Leiah's hat. Immediately, I had a vision for this style with the classic car; and I'm so thankful they trusted me enough to pull it off!

The rest of the evening was spent celebrating their love. Their gorgeous relationship, their blazing hearts for each other, and the anticipation of their upcoming wedding day. It is a joy to know these two lovely souls. Have I mentioned recently how much I adore my clients and my job?
