2013 - Year In Review | Kari Rae Photography, Portland Portrait Photographer

Feeling nostalgic.

So many beautiful souls have opened themselves to me this year. I am so, so grateful.

Here is 2013 through my eyes :)

Mommy & Me Session | Portland Family Photographer, Kari Rae Photography

Stephanie and James are the absolute sweetest and they are so in love! This time, I'm not talking about an engaged or married couple...but a mommy & her 4-year-old son.

Oh. My. Word.

This was such a special session for me to be able to do, as Stephanie and I have been dreaming about it since last Fall. She knew she wanted some great, large photos of the 2 of them for her walls.

So, she saved her pennies for a couple seasons (custom photography is quite the luxury, but I think Stephanie would tell you it's worth the wait!) and we got to have our session a couple weeks ago!

I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed creating them... you can see the adoration in their eyes. Awww! I'm in love <3

The -A- Family of Five | Kari Rae Photography, Gresham Family Photographer

Renee is a teacher. Josh is a youth pastor. Elijah, Micah & Judah are just plain awesome.

We love this family dearly & it was a great pleasure to photograph them!

We got together on a freezing cold day in early January to take some photos. They had a mini session. The entire thing lasted only 15 minutes, which might surprise you after you see all the goodness we captured!

Enjoy :)

A White Christmas with The S Family | Portland Family Photographer

There are a handful of people who have made me the photographer & business owner that I am. Leah is undoubtedly one of them - I can't even express how much she has taught me and shaped me over the past year!

She is the founder of Go {4} Pro Photos, and is a photo-preneur expert. :) Photographers, be sure to check out her WEBSITE and FACEBOOK page for the best photo biz info out there!

I had the amazing privilege of interning for Leah last winter & spring, spending hundreds of hours helping her, laughing with her, and learning from her.

She really is a genius in her field, so you could imagine my excitement when she asked if I could take her family photos for the Christmas card this year! What an honor...

We worked together to plan out the location, outfits and plan for the session, and spent a Sunday afternoon in the "snow."

Leah, Taylor, and little A, E, and P.... you have captured my heart so many times. What an honor it was to photograph your love for each other! Thank you for being such a beautiful, inviting, crazy fun family! You are all a huge blessing to me.
